Your Path is Yours Alone to Take

Your path is yours alone to take.
Not that you have to be alone.
For you can still surround yourself with the best kind of support to best thrive/align/learn from

But ultimately it is up to you to own the weight of your desires, your Truth, your soul purpose.

No one can takes that away from you.

So don’t be so hard on yourself. When all we can do is unlearn and release these imaginary shackles and chains, the systems of oppression, that pressure us to snooze and default and conform as their way.

The cosmic order of all living things, seasons, and lifetimes can be decoded in cycles and patterns. Yin and Yang waxing and waning in phases, while simultaneously enabling a constant equilibrium of all things. So too is the organic timeline for you to come into greater awareness of not necessarily WHAT to do but HOW to be. How to fulfill YOUR potential in this lifetime.

Destiny, Luck, and Free Will

We all have our own natural rhythms and cycles. Daoism teaches us the value of nature and the importance of following natural rhythms and cycles. It’s the 21st century. We aren’t meant to be constantly working and producing all of the time. We know this. And yet sometimes it's hard to believe. Capitalism sucks you into this spirit of doing, constantly working on yourself, when the truest treasure that lies within you, is you. You in your effortless being. You in your purest state of existence.

notes to self

It is close to the end of the year. Having an early January birthday, I also get quite reflective during this time.

What better to reflect, synthesize, digest, integrate than to clean up my NOTES in my laptop.

Yes,…all 2,060 of them to organize in folders in my laptop….

ya’ll this is certainly a trip down memory lane..

Here are some goodies and lessons I’ve learned, rants i’ve kept in my Notes that I’m proud of sharing now, because hey you never know who needs to hear them. I know I needed too again…

Thank you past selves. We’re never starting from Square One. Healing is nonlinear indeed!

Themes: Desire, Finding Truth, Self-Acceptance, Radical Love

Prerequisites for Preservation

“we’re gonna need to get organized
live beyond boundaries
soften our hearts
talk to each other

“we’re gonna need to leave behind our baggage
relinquish our comfort
release our control
co-exist

“we’re gonna need to give up our addictions
confront our pain
ask for help

Trust. Purpose. Momentum.

We are all on our own mission
Trusting the process
Not knowing what is happening
yet being with how it is unfolding

(Un)knowingly
Getting into the space that is not measurable
not measurable
in terms of the metrics that our culture does things in

And yet there is a growth…

Power of Presence

“You have a power that has nothing to do with what you do
or what you say
or who you know or what you know
or where you are or what you look like or your skills
or your talents
or what you have.
It is the power of your presence.
It is the heat and light from your burning log.
And it touches everyone who comes in contact with you….”

Capacity

Lately, I’ve been paying curious attention to how deep and wide my capacity is for connection. This means during a conversation where I am holding space to also track my nervous system, my heartbeat, my breath, my physical sensations, my embodied presence, my ability to truly listen and hold attention.

When I notice I start nodding off or checking out or feeling my nervous system amp up, I know I’m close to stretching my bandwith to take in and process anymore information. If I don’t say anything beyond this point, soon enough you’ll be taking at an energetically depleted autopilot zombie robot over capacity who has become oversaturated, tired, distracted, overwhelmed, and dissociated. *robot voice: i cannot compute*

Why even pretend? Nobody got time to waste for less than quality attention.

How do you listen and attune to what it is that you need for an authentic genuine connection that honors each others capacities?

REFRAMING WHO YOU ARE

When you are being called “difficult” or “too much”- question for who? And by what standards are we all going by?

Are you “being difficult” or are you just an inquisitive and intuitive human being grappling with current paradigms that don’t make any sense to you?

Are you “too much” or have you been stuffed in a box of conformity and expected to wear these societally appropriate masks designed to squash your unique radiance and queer AF essence?

Are you “acting selfish” or are you just brilliant at honoring your time, value, and space and are a badass at communicating your own needs, desires, and boundaries?

Are you a “troublemaker” or have you become an empowered person with a voice and is now a threat to what your generational conditioning and societally oppressive culture has traditionally confined you in?

Check your Self. Pay careful heed to your environment.

A Shoutout to my People's

Shoutout to the healers, intuitives, empaths, emotionally fluid shapeshifters, to those that can sit with the depth of a feeling, encompass the multitudes of our collective evolving nature and be with the full range of human emotion. To those bridges between worlds who can breathe through the pain and move with joy, resilience, and compassion. To those who have sat in the dungeons of their own darkness so deeply that they can be present within the darkness of others.

Shoutout to those folks who breathe fire and the ones that soothe it all away, the tide turners, the everyday explorers, those that courageously live into the unanswered questions with grace while open heartedly contributing to a greater cause beyond what their minds can comprehend just by existing. Sharing the lesson that our value does not have to be earned, rather it is inherent to our very being.
